The Yala national park is the Srilankan largest and the second largest national park beyond Indian Ocean. Yala has 5 entrance, but only 2 are open to the visitors (Ruhuna National Park (Block 1) and Yala Estonia). This park cover 979 square kilometers. And far away with 300 kilometers from Colombo. The park is famous for their content of different species of animals etc. Srilankan elephants, Srilankan leopards, and also aquatic birds are there. There are six national parks and also three wildlife sanctuaries in the vicinity of Yala. The largest one is Lunugamwehere national park.
